Project Overview of The Sake Restaurant Design

Located in the bustling center of District 1, The Sake attracts guests not only with its elegant space but also with the peaceful and mysterious ambiance of ancient Japan. The decor is delicately crafted with soft lighting and rich cultural details.

Designing The Sake Restaurant

The investors aimed to create an authentic Japanese space with an Izakaya style - rustic, impressive, yet cozy and relaxing. The design exudes a unique style while maintaining a gentle and pleasant atmosphere. The restaurant aspires to offer a space that serves sake brewed from Vietnam’s finest rice, ST25, along with various craft beers.

Designing The Sake Restaurant

The Sake provides an ideal dining atmosphere for dinners, casual meals, and parties. Embracing the Izakaya spirit, it primarily serves beer, sake, and snacks in a relaxed and pleasant setting. It is not just a culinary destination but a vibrant representation of Japanese culture.

The Essence of Sake

Sake, a fermented beverage made from rice, is often considered Japan's "national drink." It is produced using a unique fermentation process without distillation. This special production method necessitates a restaurant space designed for proper storage and display of sake.

Advantages

  • Prime Location: Situated in the central area of Saigon with easy access to the target audience of Japanese, Korean, and other international customers. The adjacency to The Gangs, a famous pub, creates a diverse culinary and entertainment hub.
  • Functional Layout: The spacious and elongated layout allows for multiple sections, offering varied dining experiences without feeling scattered. The existing structural walls provide a solid base for creating naturally divided spaces.

Challenges

Infrastructure Issues: The old electrical and air conditioning systems need significant upgrades, complicated by their non-scientific placement. The adjacent space lacks emergency exits, necessitating renovations. KenDesign's experienced team worked diligently to deliver the most satisfying results for the investors.

Exterior Space

The Sake impresses with its distinct exterior featuring unplastered red brick walls, reflecting a modern architectural trend that brings a natural, rustic, yet unique charm. These bricks age gracefully, adding a timeless, weathered look. Japanese details like lanterns and signboards add warmth and prominence.
