Investor's Desire
Understanding the restaurant owner's desires, KenDesign's team of architects chose the Rustic style as the main theme, transforming the restaurant space into an ideal destination with delicious Western cuisine.
Since the menu primarily features European dishes, designing the restaurant in a European style is essential for providing the most complete experience for diners. During the design and construction process, the investor aimed to attract a diverse customer base, catering to those who love private and cozy spaces.
The restaurant space needs to maintain consistency in design while also allowing for creativity to ensure it is both attractive and impressive. Therefore, we combined neo-rustic architecture with modern style to create a familiar yet unique space that will surely satisfy customers.
Current State
The site was easy to measure and survey, and the investor was open about the budget. However, there was a conflict between the husband and wife; the wife wanted to save money while the husband wanted it to look beautiful, leading to multiple design revisions.
After surveying the site, we realized the need to renovate the old model to make the restaurant stand out more, including an eye-catching exterior design to effectively attract customers. The investor also expressed the desire for a beautiful space while keeping costs low.
Eventually, the investor finalized a design that captures the atmosphere and emotion of a beefsteak restaurant, balancing functionality and aesthetics with a reasonable construction budget. Although balancing beauty and budget was challenging, our experienced and professional team of architects provided a satisfactory design for the investor.
Design Style - The Original Beauty in European Restaurant Space
The design inspiration comes from the distinct Rustic style, characterized by the raw beauty of natural materials like wood and metal. Rustic restaurant design always creates a unique emotional appeal, making guests feel comfortable and inclined to return.
Interior Space
The dining area is strongly influenced by the Rustic style, emphasizing raw beauty. The surrounding walls are painted with effects to showcase the natural beauty of the materials. The ceiling features exposed wooden beams with diverse and unique wood grain colors. The dining tables and chairs are simply designed from wood materials, combined with soft cushion seats in harmonious and elegant colors, creating a cohesive overall space.
Wood is a familiar material that brings warmth, liveliness, and sophistication to the space. The open architecture combined with rustic furniture provides a comfortable and enjoyable experience for guests with their friends and family.
A Rustic restaurant space ensures freshness, maximizing light to create a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. Rough materials like natural bricks, wood, or solid wood give customers serene moments.
SCM Steak Interior Design
In designing the interior of SCM Steakhouse, we maintained consistency in the shape, color, and material of the furniture, ensuring a unified look. The raw concrete floor was replaced with an impressive tile floor. Customers will also find some areas using patterned tiles reminiscent of the Vietnamese style, adding a unique touch to the modern European dining space.
The brown wood color creates a luxurious and mysterious dining experience. Rectangular frame designs in brown are featured throughout the space, enhancing visual appeal and creating a sense of expanded space. The wooden ceiling frame adds a striking touch to the restaurant's interior.
Recognizing customer preferences, the SCM Steak design team skillfully created an eye-catching and sophisticated space. The restaurant combines a cozy, enclosed space with warm lighting and elegant leather-covered furniture.
Restaurant Decoration
The distinctive red and black tones combined with the effect of the painting make the space vibrant and attractive. Modern Rustic style incorporates more diversity and uniqueness than classical style, incorporating geometric shapes and intricate details while retaining the "essence" of Rustic with raw materials like cement panels and wood, paired with neutral colors like galvanized steel and wood for a modern, captivating Rustic space.
Rustic uses fabric as a primary decorative element, unlike many other restaurant styles. It not only refreshes the restaurant's appearance but also creates a unique and impressive dining atmosphere.
Lighting System
KenDesign primarily used hanging lamps with unique and intricate designs, creating focal points for the restaurant. SCM Steakhouse uses numerous round bulb lamps and pendant lights over the stage area, drawing customer attention.
Additionally, wall decorations include images of dishes, adding harmony between industrial elements and modern touches. Some artistic photos and wooden wine racks enhance the restaurant's appeal. The exposed red brick walls, simply but distinctively designed, add a special charm.
The layout of the restaurant, including internal traffic flow, food serving area, and restrooms, is designed harmoniously. Space is maximized with the arrangement of tables and chairs and balcony setup, creating an impression of spaciousness.
