Completion of TMR Cafa Construction
Nowadays, the younger generation is increasingly dynamic, enthusiastic, and starting a café is still a suitable choice for startups. However, running a successful café requires meticulous planning, from design and construction to operations.
Amidst the everyday hustle and bustle of life, the owner wanted to create a space for relaxation - a place to immerse oneself in the euphoria of memories from the 60s and 70s, leaving visitors amazed and moved. This space authentically revives the beauty of the past, embracing a gentle and classic Retro spirit. The owner expressed a desire for a vintage and classic café concept. Understanding the vision, KenDesign immediately got to work and produced a 3D plan that ensured functionality and aesthetics, receiving instant approval and enthusiasm from the owner.
Reviving the beauty of the bygone era in a truthful way
The café's interior area spans around 65m2, located in Tả Thanh Oai, Hanoi. The design style embraces simplicity with a dominant material of wood, adorned with artifacts reminiscent of the modest and familiar objects from the 80s and 90s. Every detail is meticulously arranged, creating a true nostalgic ambiance of old Hanoi.
The challenge for the TMR café construction team was to preserve the vintage spirit while incorporating unique highlights to complement the space. Thus, the café retained its signature colors of gold and beige with familiar brown wooden furnishings. TMR Café exudes a vintage charm and individuality, connecting emotionally with its customers, an obvious reason for its affection.
Interior Construction of TMR Café
The design of TMR café was inspired by Vintage style. Therefore, during the café's construction, KenDesign utilized natural materials, natural lighting, and minimalist elements to achieve balance. Wood was the primary material used in the café's interior because it effectively conveyed a sense of nature, simplicity, and minimalism, which the café aimed for.
Different types of wood such as melamine-coated MDF, Russian oak, and rubberwood were used for tables, chairs, cabinets, and counters, all featuring light tones. These woods offer high durability, water and moisture resistance, excellent scratch resistance, high load-bearing capacity, beautiful and unique wood grain patterns harmonizing with natural light. Moreover, they are cost-effective, saving a significant amount for the owner.
In addition, the café's flooring made an impression with classic flower-patterned tiles on the sides and faux concrete-colored tiles in the middle aisle, creating special focal points. The entire space was painted with a faux concrete effect, enhancing the natural and bright atmosphere of the café. The ceiling was painted with two coats of black maxi lite paint to add depth to the café's ambiance.
Installation of Lighting System
Soft yellow lights were used to enhance the attraction and make the café stand out among others. Lighting is an essential part of KenDesign's projects, as it provides warmth and essential allure for business establishments.
The lighting system in the TMR café was intelligently designed. The selected lighting fixtures were energy-efficient, eco-friendly, compact, easy to install, and aesthetically pleasing, contributing to the café's overall charm with harmonious lighting.
Moreover, the café's striking feature is the clear glass doors that connect the indoor and outdoor spaces. This allows natural light to flood in, making the space bright, and airy, and expanding the sense of width and depth, enabling customers to enjoy the surrounding scenery.
