Buon Cafe Thao Dien - An Architectural Symphony
The requirement for the construction team of Buon Cafe Thao Dien was to maintain the Retro + Indochine spirit like the previous two Buon locations while also introducing innovative elements to suit the space. Thus, Buon Cafe Thao Dien retains its signature colors of yellow and dark green, along with familiar brown wooden furniture frames, ventilated ceilings, and industrial-style ventilation and exhaust systems that exude strength without being ostentatious.
Interior Construction of Buon Cafe Thao Dien
The seating in the cafe is designed to be simple yet sturdy, providing convenience for movement. Each chair comes with a padded cushion to offer comfort for the customers. The innermost corner of the cafe features a fixed bench with matching colored cushions against a moss green wall and adorned with impressive mirrors and wooden frames. The long benches are adorned with simple patterns and motifs, maintaining a traditional feel without feeling overwhelming or heavy.
Throughout the space, there are distinct Indochinese elements, from the terrazzo floor to the refined wooden panels and lotus bud-shaped pillars inspired by temple architecture. The cafe also features famous paintings as part of the wall decoration, adding liveliness to the interior.
Construction of the Bar Counter at Buon Cafe Thao Dien
During the construction of the bar counter at Buon Cafe Thao Dien, the Ken Design team used faux Japanese tile to cover the counter, creating a unique highlight for the space. This design also blends harmoniously with the gray concrete floor below in terms of color intensity and aesthetics. The bar counter was designed to resemble a village shrine, with a red-tiled canopy and hanging bamboo cone-shaped lights, evoking a distinct feeling of Annam.
Buon Cafe Thao Dien is located at the foot of Vincom Megamall Quan 2, marking the continuous partnership between Ken Design and the Buon Cafe chain. It is hoped that the chain will continue to thrive and extend this journey, providing customers with interesting coffee destinations.
